Why I kept it.

The building changes quickly as you walk around it. One step is shade, carved stone and a low ceiling; the next opens into the courtyard and a large section of sky.

I kept Cormac in the middle because the scale needs a reference. Without him the arcade is attractive but abstract. With him, you can read how large and carefully proportioned the space actually is.
