Atlantic stacks

A broken coast holding its ground against an entire ocean.

Dark sea stacks rise from turquoise Atlantic water below long, sunlit cliffs on the Irish coast.

Field note

The bit outside the frame.

The water is almost too blue for the west coast, but the cliffs and white water keep it honest.

Every layer records a different stage of the same argument between land and sea. The sea appears to be winning, just slowly enough to watch.
