Field note

Why I kept it.

We climbed Monte Barro and took the Lecco photographs from above. From there, the shape of the town makes immediate sense: water closes one side, steep ground closes the other, and almost every usable strip between them has been built on.

That relationship is what I wanted in the picture. The view is beautiful, but the interesting part to me is how clearly the geography explains the layout of the town.
