Glencoe opening
A break in the cloud puts a narrow band of sunlight down the Glencoe valley.
Field note
Why I kept it.
The valley already gives you more scale than a single photograph can hold. The brief patch of sunlight made the depth easier to read, picking out the floor while the mountains stayed dark.
It lasted only long enough for a frame or two. That is most of the reason I kept it: not because the weather was dramatic in general, but because this exact arrangement was short-lived.
