Galway grid at dusk
Power, radio and the last blue light over Galway.
Field note
The bit outside the frame.
There is a short part of the evening when all the practical machinery on the horizon turns into a drawing: poles, cables, radio towers and warning lights cut into the last of the blue.
It is not the postcard version of Galway, and that is why I like it. The frame is ordinary infrastructure made briefly strange—the quiet grid behind everything, still working as the daylight drains away.
